Summary

CSG is seeking a Marketing Associate with excellent written communication, content management and time/project management skills as well as an obsessive attention to detail. CSG’s Marketing Team performs a variety of marketing functions, the most critical of which is the development of proposals. Working in a collaborative environment, the Marketing Associate will focus on proposal development and management of related marketing content.

Responsibilities

Proposal Development

  • Take the lead in developing proposals and driving them to completion
  • Interpret requests for proposal (RFP) requirements and identify content and strategic messaging needs
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with proposal content contributors to obtain the content necessary to craft winning responses
  • Meet immovable proposal deadlines by identifying priorities and managing the schedule for information gathering, content creation, draft proposal creation, proposal reviews, approvals and production
  • Perform proposal content assembly, editing, formatting, quality assurance and production—ensuring that all RFP technical requirements are met, messaging is tailored to prospective clients’ needs, content is current and accurate, and all text and graphical elements adhere to templates, brand guidelines and visual presentation standards

 

Content and Data Management

  • Assist content developers with creation of technical content for staff qualifications, project descriptions and other data driven content
  • Maintain accuracy and currency of content utilized in proposals and other marketing materials, including but not limited to staff qualifications, project descriptions, value messaging specific to each service line, client data, photographs and graphic elements
  • Perform fact-checking, version control and quality assurance functions
  • Assist with development of internal software tools/databases and processes for maintaining the currency, accuracy and integrity of varied marketing data/content spanning all CSG service lines
  • Maintain Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates

 

Other Marketing Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordination of marketing events, sponsorships, and promotional materials
  • Assist with updates to marketing tracking information
  • Maintain inventory of production materials and other Marketing Department supplies
  • Perform competitive research

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Marketing, Journalism or Communications
  • 1-3 years of marketing experience preferably for B2B or B2G professional services. Alternatively, 1-3 years in a legal assistant, technical writer, advertising copy editor, or similar role would be considered
  • Project management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and work efficiently and effectively with others to deliver quality work products while under the pressure of deadlines
  • Highly organized, self-directed, initiative-taking and proactive
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong business and technical writing skills
  • Excellent grammar, editing and information organization skills
  • Obsessive attention to details and quality control, especially in the areas of editing/proofreading, document formatting, maintenance of brand identity and message integrity, content management and version control, digital asset management, and record-keeping
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) including facility with Microsoft Word templates, themes, styles and advanced formatting functions

 

DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with maintaining digital assets and marketing related data including use of CRM, CMS and DAM software
  • Creative writing skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of and experience with the application of visual design principles
  • Print and web production experience

Working Conditions

  • General office environment.
  • Regularly requires working in a seated position at workstation for extended periods.
  • Occasionally may require lifting up to 20 lbs.
