Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California

Summary

The HR Generalist reports to the Human Resources Manager. The HR Generalist is collaborative and has an open and friendly work style. The position works independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to manage and complete a wide variety of activities within deadlines and use discretion in handling confidential matters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support across the company.
  • Recruiting
    • Publish CSG’s profile on job boards and with recruiters.
    • Perform and/or participate in job interviews.
    • Prepare, review, and send offer letters to job candidates.
  • HR transactions
    • Process employment actions and changes in the HR systems (Oracle and ADP).
    • Respond to employees’ questions and requests.
    • Oversee HR company Intranet content.
    • Collaborate with managers to maintain job descriptions.
    • Process and maintain benefits enrollments and changes in ADP Workforce Now.
    • Respond to employees’ and vendors benefits questions.
    • ADP plans setup during open enrollment, respond to employees’ and vendors’ requests, approve open enrollment changes in ADP.
    • Manage and track all leave of absences.
    • Respond to EDD requests.
    • Ensure HRIS data integrity. Pull reports and audit HR data.
  • HR Policies and Procedures
    • Maintain the employee handbook.
  • Employee Separations
    • Coordinate with managers on offboarding process.
    • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to supervisors.
  • Worker’s Compensation: submit and follow-up on all claims, WC audit, annual reporting.
  • Assist in the annual 401(k) audit.
  • Assist with HR systems maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • May assist with company events: annual meeting, holiday party and picnic.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or Organizational Development from an accredited college or university.
  • 5-7 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Strong understanding of human resources processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws.
  • Must be able to work independently or with a team and manage a diversified workload with a high level of discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS office and HRIS systems, Oracle Fusion and ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Accurate attention to detail and office organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, and dependable.

Working Conditions

  • General office environment.
  • Require standing, bending, sitting, walking, twisting and turning.
  • May require lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Majority of the time is spent sitting/standing at a desk.
