After careful, multi-year planning, CSG Consultants is embarking on a leadership transition. Beginning in August, Daniel Gonzales, P.E. will assume the role of president while Cyrus Kianpour continues as CEO. In March 2027, Daniel will take on full president and CEO responsibilities, with Cyrus moving into an advisory role. This phased approach reflects CSG’s commitment to continuity, stability, and the values that have guided the company for more than three decades.

CSG Consultants attended the 2026 Building and Safety Training Matrix hosted by the ICC LA Basin Chapter on June 16, supporting education and professional development for building and safety professionals. The day featured sessions on evolving codes, regulations, and best practices, fostering collaboration among code officials, inspectors, and industry partners — reinforcing CSG’s commitment to stronger, safer communities across California.

CSG Consultants celebrated the opening of its new Irvine office with a open house bringing together staff, clients, and partners for an afternoon of connection and collaboration. Guests toured the new space, enjoyed a beautiful Hive and Honey grazing table, and reconnected over meaningful conversation. The event was a reflection of CSG’s commitment to the relationships and community that have shaped its continued growth across Southern California.

CSG Consultants visited Noddin Elementary School, introducing nearly 80 first-grade students to civil engineering through an interactive presentation led by engineers Hatem Ahmed and Heba Masri. Students explored how engineers design and build through a hands-on STEM challenge — constructing freestanding structures with gumdrops and toothpicks — bringing concepts like stability, iteration, and problem-solving to life. The visit was as inspiring for the CSG team as it was for the students, who may just be future engineers.

CSG Consultants joined building officials, municipal leaders, and industry professionals at CALBO’s 64th Annual Business Meeting to discuss the future of building safety and community development across California. The event sparked conversations around evolving regulations, staffing challenges, and the value of trusted partnerships. CSG was also proud to celebrate Mike Brinkman on his installation as CALBO’s president — a well-deserved recognition of his commitment to the profession.

The two-day event covered transportation, utilities, and emerging technologies, reinforcing a clear industry message: agencies need partners who offer both technical expertise and adaptability — a mission central to CSG’s work.
